New windows and doors improve comfort, cut energy bills and add long-term value to your home. Hale Windows San Diego pairs proven product lines with our own installing crews for lasting performance - and a price we put in writing.
Choose your installer
The unit is half the job - the install is the other half. Our own background-checked crews measure, set, seal and insulate every opening, and they know the lines we quote inside and out because they install them every week.
Select the right products
Compare styles, materials and glass packages side by side until the fit is right for your rooms, your budget and your goals. The product-line comparison below is the place to start.
Prepare your home for install
Before install day we walk you through a short checklist - furniture pulled back, treatments down, a clear path to each opening - so install day is watch-it-happen, not scramble.
Compare the Lines We Quote

Meet the San Diego Team Behind Hale Windows San Diego
We’re a local crew of installers, glaziers, and service techs who have spent years working on San Diego homes, from Craftsman bungalows in North Park to stucco ranches in Clairemont. What unites us is simple: we believe a window job isn’t finished until it’s right, and right means sealed, plumb, square, and quiet. No one on this team hides behind a call center. When you call Hale Windows San Diego, you’ll talk to someone who knows what a retrofit flange is and has probably installed one that week. Spencer Odell, Owner, set the tone in 2009, and the crew still runs on it.
Our People
Marcus T. – Lead Technician
Marcus has 14 years in the window and door trade, the last six of them with Hale Windows San Diego. He holds a California glazing certification and is our go-to for complex retrofit-to-new-construction transitions, the kind of job where the old frame has dry rot and the rough opening needs rebuild work before a new PGT or CWS unit goes in. He has installed every brand we carry at least twice, and he can tell you, from memory, why a Therma-Tru door slab hangs differently in a coastal home in Ocean Beach than it does inland in Rancho Bernardo. Off the clock, Marcus rebuilds vintage Honda motorcycles and insists the patience that takes is the same skill that makes a clean window reveal.
Elena R. – Senior Installer
Elena joined Hale in 2017 after running her own small finish-carpentry outfit in Chula Vista. She specializes in picture-window and multi-slider installs, and she is the person we send when a homeowner wants a wall of glass that opens onto a canyon view in Scripps Ranch. Elena is certified in lead-safe work practices and structural glazing, and she takes particular pride in the interior trim detail work most crews rush past. She keeps a running tally of how many homeowners have shown her a window caulked with what turned out to be toothpaste. The current count is eleven. When she is not on a ladder, she is coaching youth softball in National City.
Devon K. – Service Coordinator
Devon is the voice on the other end of the phone at Hale Windows San Diego, and he has been since 2020. He started as an apprentice installer, but his real talent turned out to be triage: hearing a description of a fogged double-pane or a sticking slider and knowing whether you need a gasket replacement or a full sash rebuild. Devon schedules every job, confirms every technician by name and photo before the visit, and writes the first draft of every repair quote. He also holds a certificate in fenestration product performance from an industry training program, which is why he can explain the difference between U-factor and SHGC over the phone without making you feel like you’re back in physics class. He plays in a rec-league soccer team every Wednesday, poorly, by his own account.
Priya S. – Apprentice Installer
Priya is the newest member of the crew, two years into her apprenticeship under Marcus. She came to us from a pre-apprenticeship construction program in the South Bay and has since passed her OSHA 10 and her first AAMA installation training module. Her day-to-day work is flashing, sealing, and setting sill pans correctly, the invisible details that determine whether a window leaks in five years or fifty. Priya is training specifically on ES Windows and ECO Window Systems products because those European-style tilt-and-turn units have hardware tolerances that demand a careful hand. She is also, without exaggeration, the fastest at loading a truck properly, which the entire crew respects more than any certificate.
One Standard, Every Job
The rule across Hale Windows San Diego is the same no matter who shows up at your door. Every technician is background-checked, identity-verified, uniformed, photo-badged, and pre-announced by name and photo before the visit. We call it the Threshold Standard, and it exists because you should not have to guess who is outside your house. Every job, whether it is a single window repair or a full-house replacement, gets a written price before any work starts. Every repair carries a written guarantee, and if that repair fails, the second visit is free. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is stamped on every job: if it is not done right, Hale makes it right, no argument needed. That promise is not a marketing line. It is what Spencer Odell wrote down when he started this company, and it is the standard every person on this page is expected to meet. If you want to meet them for real, call (619) 793-3248 and ask who is on the schedule for your neighborhood that week.
